The Mayor and City Council would like your input on the preferred alternative of the Master Transportation Plan before the City Council votes and adopts the plans on June 3, 2008.
One of the main reasons for the updated Master Transportation Plan is due to the development of land between 12600 South, 13400 South, Mountain View Corridor, and the Bangerter Highway. On March 18th the City Council established a six month moratorium for all building in this area so that an updated Master Transportation Plan and a General Plan could be developed for proper planning.
As many of you are aware, with the spring season and improved weather conditions just around the corner, so too is the new construction season. In 2008, Riverton City will see the completion of its 126th South and 134th South roadway projects west of Bangerter Highway. Riverton City recognizes that it has a responsibility to both its residents, as well as those of neighboring cities, to utilize its roadways in a manner that minimizes user inconvenience, and keep users informed of upcoming events that will impact traffic flow.
