Teen Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt -Friday, April 2nd at the Riverton Park located at 12800 South 1400 West. Youth ages 13-18 are invited to participate. The egg hunt will begin at 9:00 p.m. sharp. We’ll have hundreds of candy and cash filled eggs and lots of fun prizes! Dress warm and don’t forget your flashlight.

The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to hire more than 1,000 Census Takers in Salt Lake County for the 2010 population survey. The jobs are temporary, part-time work and will pay $14 an hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check. Census Takers will offer personal assistance to individuals who do not complete and return their census form by mail.
Salt Lake County residents interested in applying for census jobs should call the Salt Lake Census Office at (801) 736-5060 to schedule a time and location to take a 30-minute multiple-choice test that measure the skills required for census employment. Start training now for the 2nd Annual Riverton City Half Marathon that will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Registration is $30, January 4 - March 10 and $40 between March 11-26. Riverton City will have three locations for disposal of Christmas trees for recycling through the month of January. Thank you for helping our City to recycle. The dumpsters will be located at the following locations (only clean trees without stands or plastic bags will be accepted):

Riverton’s Annual Halloween Bash and RHS Drill Team Fundraiser will be held on Monday, October 26th at the Riverton City Park (12800 S 1450 W). Carnival games and dinner begins at 5:00 pm. We will also be showing “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” on the big outdoor movie screen at 7:30 pm followed by our own “Search for the Great Pumpkin” and lots of candy and prizes. The movie and Search for the Great Pumpkin are FREE!! Carnival game tickets are 4/$1.00, hot dog dinner - $3, hamburger dinner - $4. Dress warm, wear your costume, bring your flashlight and come prepared for lots of fun!!
The Riverton Sr. Center is in need of volunteers to help at the Senior Center. We are currently in need of people available Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to assist with meal preparation, clean up and a variety of other activities.
