Following is an updated Riverton City Council meeting schedule for the remainder of 2010. Typically, the City Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, but due to a lack of agenda items to warrant a meeting, holidays and elections over the next few months, a few meetings have been cancelled:

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Riverton City Hall on Monday, September 20th. To donate blood, please contact Ann Farr at (801) 208-3119 to schedule your appointment.
October is a great time to get your homes and yards cleaned up and ready for winter. Riverton City is offering coupons to residents good for up to $8.00 off one load for disposal at the Trans-Jordan landfill. Coupons, which are good during the month of October, are available for pick up at the Utility Billing and Reception windows at Riverton City Hall.
Join us in this fun, 12 week competition to lose weight. Cash prizes will be awarded to top losers in different categories. Competition will begin on August 12th with weigh-ins held every week. Participants must be 18 years or older and pre-registration at Riverton Parks and Recreation is required. Cost is $25 per person and includes a t-shirt. You can now buy your theater tickets for Riverton Arts Council’s production of “Hairspray” online! This production will run from July 30, 2010 through August 21, 2010 at the Sandra N. Lloyd Performing Arts Center. No performances on Sunday’s or Wednesday’s and Matinee’s on Saturdays. To purchase advanced tickets online, click here.
Tickets on sale now for the Riverton Town Days Rodeo at the Riverton Parks & Recreation Office or at the gate the night of the event starting at 6:30 pm. Cost is $6.00 General Admission, Children 3 and under are free. Rodeo starts at 8:00 pm, gates open at 6:30 pm. The Riverton Rodeo arena is located at 12800 S. 1300 W. Please park in the parking lots located on 1400 W. 12700 S.

Be sure to get your tickets for the annual Riverton City Demolition Derby! They can be purchased in advance at the Parks & Recreation Office at City Hall or at the gate the night of the event starting at 6:30 pm for $8.00 per person, general admission. The Derby will be held on Saturday, July 10th at 8:00 p.m. at the Riverton Rodeo Arena located at 12800 S. 1300 W. Tickets are limited, so get yours early!
The annual Riverton Arts Festival will be held June 3rd, 4th and 5th at the Riverton City Park located at 12800 S. 1400 W. Join us for our Annual Fishing Derby and a FREE fishing day in the State of Utah, no license required. This event will be held on Saturday, June 5th from 7:00-9:00 a.m. at the Old Farm Pond located at 3250 W. 13680 S. Children ages 12 and under will be eligible for our free prize drawing and the biggest fish competition. Bring the whole family.
