Riverton City Volunteer Opportunities 

Riverton Sr. Center: We are looking for people interested in teaching a variety of classes at the Sr. Center. The Sr. Center is open daily from 9:00-3:00 Monday through Friday. If you have a skill in a certain area and have time to give back to the community please call Joy Hartman-Site Supervisor 254-7609. 

Riverton City Adopt a Park: The Riverton City Parks Department is looking for members of the Community to take an active role in the occasional clean-up around the various parks in the City. Work would include occasionally raking the soft fall, weeds and trash around the fence line, tree rings, and other misc. cleaning. If you are interested in adopting a park contact Sheril Garn 208-3120 

Riverton Arts Council: The Riverton Arts Council is always in need of volunteers to help with stage set up, costumes, marketing, and a variety of projects for each of their productions. If you are interested in volunteering contact Kim Ostler at 253-9342 Riverton 

Metropolitan Orchestra: The orchestra meets each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverton Civic Center; they are always looking for help with marketing, ticket sales, and some general office duties. If interested contact Cori Nayar at 253-3132 Coaching for 

Riverton Recreation Flag Football or Fall Softball: Fall baseball season runs from August to mid September. Flag Football season runs from mid September to mid October. Both of these organizations are for children between the ages of 4-12. Contact Rodney Anderson at 208-3121 Riverton 

Town Days: We are always looking for volunteers to assist with the various town days activities. Volunteer opportunities would include help with the parade, entertainment, 10K race, and children’s games, Rodeo or Demolition Derby. If interested contact Ann Farr 208-3119. 

Emergency Preparedness: Riverton City has a formed a volunteer committee to address the immediate needs of our community if there were an emergency. If you have an interest in CERT Training, Public Relations, Cache storage, Cribbing Items, Eagle Scout projects. If you are interested in serving on this committee contact Jim Jenson 254-1760

Stormwater Cleanup: The Engineering Department is welcoming projects that encourage education, cleanup and protection of stormwater. We also have door hangers and No Dumping curb markers available to interested groups. Please contact Tom Beesley at 208-3152.
