RHS Students Raise $191,274 as Part of Silver Rush

December 22, 2016: Riverton High School revealed the earnings from their #SilverRush efforts yesterday... $191,274!

Year-after-year, Riverton High School Students continue to break records as part of their charitable Silver Rush drive. It is an emotional journey for students who utilize great creativity and focused commitment over a 20-day period to make a difference... this year, in the lives of children who suffer from cancer through the charitable organization Millie's Princess Foundation.

RHS Principal Carolyn Gough expressed during the opening assembly this year that the goal they all share in Silver Rush isn't about achieving a dollar amount, it's about the change. And these students have certainly achieved that. Changes in the lives of people in need and changes in their own hearts as they experience what it takes to focus on the needs of others.

Combining in their charitable drives this year, #OquirrhHills Middle School students earned $21,000 and South Hills Middle School topped $14,500, all of which will add to the donation toward #MilliesPrincessFoundation.

We share in tremendous pride and gratitude for the young people in our community. Their examples of compassion, dedication and generosity serve us all and demonstrate that by working together toward a common goal, we can make a difference in the world and impact people's lives in positive and meaningful ways.

Congratulations Riverton Students! We love and appreciate you all!!
